What appears to be a momentous celebration for Lofa County turned to be a misfortune for an unknown man believed to be in his twenties who allegedly fell from the inner fence of the Samuel Kayon Doe\u2019s Complex cracking his skull and breaking his hand, leading to his instant death while celebrating Lofa County\u2019s victory on February 2, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The young man who is yet to be identified by this medium allegedly climbed over the fence to get access to the pitch and celebrate with players of Lofa County when the referee sounded the final whistle while he was in alcohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authorities did not say anything regarding his detail until press time and his death was not announced by hospital but onlookers said he died after knocking is skull so hard, breaking his hand and releasing a lot of blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What security measure was instituted to prevent people from intruding on the pitch is unclear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Lofa defeated Grand Gedeh in the grand finale to emerge victorious at the first spot after beating Margibi in penalties in the 2024\/2025\u2019s seminal finals at the Samuel Kayon Doe\u2019s Sports Pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lofa which is said to have maintained most of their players since 2022 was initially paired in \u2018Group C\u2019 this year and qualified earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They won Grand Gedeh two (2) goals to one (1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Zorzor, they were seen in the main streets blocking the road and making difficult for vehicles to pass through for a while. Young men and women were also seen being engaged into dancing competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
