{"id":835,"date":"2025-02-09T19:15:48","date_gmt":"2025-02-09T19:15:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.throngtalk.com\/?p=835"},"modified":"2025-02-09T19:50:49","modified_gmt":"2025-02-09T19:50:49","slug":"president-boakai-suspends-nocal-boss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.throngtalk.com\/?p=835","title":{"rendered":"President Boakai Suspends NOCAL Boss"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The President of the Republic of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai has suspended the President\/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspension according to the Liberian Leader, is as the result of a resolution from the Board of Directors of NOCAL recommending her suspension and investigation for alleged administrative malpractices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I concur with the board\u2019s recommendation and hereby inform you of your suspension with immediate effect, without pay, pending conclusion of the investigation&#8221; the president stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Boakai therefore, called on the suspended NOCAL Boss to turn over to the institution&#8217;s vice president for operations, Mr. Fabian Michael Lai who will serve as Acting President\/CEO of NOCAL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Boakai in the suspension letter to Madam Suacoco Nails NOCAL President with Suspension Pending Investigation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has, with immediate effect suspended the President\/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), Madam Rustonlyn Suakoko Dennis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Madam Suacoco Dennis is a former representative of District #4, Montserrado County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was defeated by Michael M. Thomas in the 2023 legislative and presidential elections and subsequently appointed by President Boakai.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the Republic of Liberia,
