
The President of the Republic of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai has suspended the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis.
The suspension according to the Liberian Leader, is as the result of a resolution from the Board of Directors of NOCAL recommending her suspension and investigation for alleged administrative malpractices.
“I concur with the board’s recommendation and hereby inform you of your suspension with immediate effect, without pay, pending conclusion of the investigation” the president stated.
President Boakai therefore, called on the suspended NOCAL Boss to turn over to the institution’s vice president for operations, Mr. Fabian Michael Lai who will serve as Acting President/CEO of NOCAL.

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has, with immediate effect suspended the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), Madam Rustonlyn Suakoko Dennis.
Madam Suacoco Dennis is a former representative of District #4, Montserrado County.
She was defeated by Michael M. Thomas in the 2023 legislative and presidential elections and subsequently appointed by President Boakai.
