The newly inducted President of the Margibi Bar Association, Counselor Thomas Preston Bombo has assured members of the association that his leadership will be opened and transparent during the course of his term.
Counselor Thomas Preston Bombo made the comment in the court room of the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Margibi County during the official program marking the induction of elected leaders of the Margibi Bar Association. The program was held immediately following the opening of the May-Term of court.
The program saw the Chief Justice of Liberia, Sie-A-Nyene G Yuoh, 13th Judicial Circuit Court assigned Judge, Golda A. Bonah Elliott, the national secretary general of the Liberia National Bar Association, Cllr Elisha T. J. Forkeyoh, Sr., members of the Margibi Bar, magistrates, specialized court judges, local authorities of Margibi, Non-governmental Organization or NGO and many other Liberians in attendance.
Those installed into offices are Counselor Thomas Preston Bombo, President, Counselor Fumba Swaray, Vice President, Counselor Abraham Tengbeh, Secretary General and Counselor Beevaye Myers Mortee, Treasurer.
While delivering his special address, Maj., Cllr. Thomas Preston Bombo stated that, “I will be transparent in the management of the association’s affairs, my door will always be opened, my ears ready to listen to your concerns, suggestions and recommendations.”

He told them that truth leadership begins with example, therefore, as a president of the local bar in Margibi, he is committed to demonstrating in his daily conduct the highest ethical standards that the legal profession demands.
He also said, “I will conduct myself with integrity, professionalism and respect in all my dealings.”
He, however called on them to join him in building a stronger, more cohesive and more impactful Margibi Bar Association that upholds the noble ideas of their profession and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of justice in the rule of law in Liberia and beyond.
Making a remark during the induction, the Chief Justice of Liberia, Sie-A-Nyene G Yuoh said in the history of the Liberia National Bar Association, she is not aware of any other person who has been an active Armed Forces of Liberia or AFL Personnel serving as a president or any other position of the bar unlike, Cllr Thomas Preston Bombo.
She, therefore, called upon him and the rest of the leadership to live up to the tasks which they have given to themselves. She also stated that she wants to see in her life time the Margibi Bar performance par excellence then some of the bars that she knows like the Nimba, Bassa and Montserrado Counties Bars that have exemplified themselves in their performances.
