Follow a period of struggle, the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Children Academy says the school is on the path of recovery.
The school located in the Cephus Town of Bong Mines-Fuamah District, Lower Bong County was built by the former representative of Fuamah, Korpo Barclay in honor of the ex-president of Liberia, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
It was established in 2010 according the principal, Kebeh N Kinnah who said she ran the school for the past eighty (8) years with the help of parents but with some challenges before the proprietress came in to assist in 2024.

She told Throngtalk News Bureau that prior to the time Madam Barclay came back to pay attention and take responsibility in the school, it was very difficult for them to earn salaries.
She lamented that the school does not have a playground for the students of whom many are kids.
Madam Kinnah appreciated the proprietress for the level of support and mentioned the improvement of the infrastructure as part of what the Madam is doing for the school.
She indicated that since the former lawmaker went back to help them at the school last year, many things are improving putting the school on the path of recovery.
She explained that the school at the moment has seven (7) teachers who are being paid by Madam Barclay herself to teach about two hundred and fifty-six (256) students from the nursery to the ix grade class.
She said the former Liberian Leader Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is in the know of the school and she visited them on campus twice and with gifts for the students.
