The Founder and General Overseer of the Christ End-Time Revival Ministries Int’l or CERMI located in the Gotumo Town Community of Kakaka, Margibi County, Rev Peter F Sammie is seriously urging the Government of Liberia to do the right things in the country.
He indicated that Liberia has the supreme court and other branches of government to make sure that the right things happen in the country.
He also urged that the people who are claiming rights should relinquish some of the things they are holding onto for the sake of peace and Liberia.
He made the statement on Friday April 19, 2025 after the church service in Gotumo Town in his office. He spoke in relation to the current situation of power struggle centered on the speakership of the House of Representatives.
“One thing I will tell you, the government should do the right thing.” He reemphasized, “The government should do the right thing and those of you that are claiming rights, for the sake of peace and for the sake of our nation, Liberia, we have to look up to God and relinquish some things but one thing that I will say, justice must prevail. That is why we have the supreme court, we have the Government of Liberia, they need to come out with final decision let this thing be laid to rest.”
He was responding to an inquiry about what his advice is to officials of the Liberian Government especially with the issue at the Capitol Building.
The question was prompted by a statement made by him during the church service that formed part of a weeklong revival. He said God is a just God so he respects justice, therefore, any nation that downplays justice finds it difficult to succeed.
Further speaking during an interview with this medium, he said Jesus paid the prize for mankind sins and God did not spare justice, he sent his son to die to prove that justice must be obeyed.
Rev Sammie added To tell you my dear friend, any nation that play with justice, that nation can’t stand. Jesus suffered for the sins of humanity because he chose to, right? So, you see nation today, people go about doing wicked things and people leave them to go just like that. God could not spare his own son for the sins of mankind.’’
Meanwhile, the revival lasted for about a week beginning Monday April 14, to the 20, 2025 at CERMI with members and nonmembers of the church from different parts of Kakaka in attendance.
According to Rev Sammie, the revival week is also known as passion week with each of the days having a specific nomenclature beginning Sunday which is the Palm Sunday, Monday is the fig Monday, Tuesday, Jesus declared the woes and gave parables, the spy Wednesday, the Maundy Thursday and Friday is considered good Friday when he was arrested and crucified on the cross, Saturday he stayed in the grave and Sunday he resurrected because death could not hold him captive and that Sunday is called Easter Sunday.
He said the importance of this week requires it being celebrated as a reverend week to Christians but many people dishonor it.
The CERMI General Overseer and Founder said Jesus is no longer in the grave but every year, this week is supposed to be observed with holiness. He promised to make sure that his church honors this day in as much as he remains the pastor.
